Pinoy Version of The Last Supper .

( Artist - Joey Velasco.)
I often see this picture in our University.A very touching painting of the last supper titled Hapag ng Pag-asa with dirty street children of poverty .These are children of poverty in the Philippines exposed to the harsh and difficult dehumanizing subsistence has managed somehow to show their good nature and innocence. Each figure depicted in this mural comes alive... for they are based on real life street kids whose livelihoods are depicted in the mural. One of them is a girl who belongs to a family squatting at the North Cemetery. One boy is a push-cart scavenger who has a father addicted to drugs. Another boy has been in and out of jail for petty theft. It inspired a lot of students. I hope it touches your lives as well.

I'm sure sometimes God wants to be asked, "Is there anything I can do for You?"
